Snorkeling in Holguin Cuba

snorkeling

To celebrate our upcoming 10 year anniversary, hubby and I treated ourselves to an all-inclusive vacation at the Playa Pesquero resort in Holguin, Cuba this past February. Our last “all-in” vacation was our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic and we included the kids so our new blended family could enjoy it all together. As much fun as we had then, we were both looking forward to a “just us” holiday.

It was our first trip to Cuba and we absolutely loved it. The people are wonderful, the beaches were spectacular and the resort was fantastic. We chose Holguin because of the beaches. Clear blue water, white sand and snorkeling right off the beach. The Trip Advisor reviews we saw confirmed that this was exactly what we wanted. It also helped that we knew at least 3 people who stayed at the same hotel and all recommended it!

We brought our own snorkeling gear and went on an excursion with our GoPro. It’s taken till now to edit it, but I’ve finally done it 🙂

I would definitely go back to Cuba again!

    • Linda – it was amazing! when we went snorkeling again it was right off our hotel beach and we brought bread and bananas to feed the fish. We had a school of 200 fish following us looking for treats 🙂

      • do you have some video of that snorkeling excursion? I’d love to see that!! I didn’t know that fish liked bananas but I guess they are tropical fish huh? :>)

      • Sorry, no. We did try to use the 10 year old waterproof disposable camera we forgot to bring on our honeymoon, but it leaked :/
